L’interdiction des transactions liées aux personnes mentionnées dans le Règlement sur les mesures économiques spéciales visant Haïti entraîne la gélation de tous les biens qu’elles pourraient posséder au Canada. Selon l’institution canadienne, ces sanctions font également interdire aux personnes inscrites de séjourner au Canada en vertu de la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés.
