Il est important de rappeler que le Conseil présidentiel de transition (CPT) a élu l’ancien Premier ministre Garry Conille comme chef de file de la transition, avec 6 sur 7 membres votant à l’unanimité le 28 mai dernier.
Garry Conille est un médecin et ancien Premier ministre d’Haïti sous la présidence de Michel Joseph Martelly de septembre 2011 à mai 2012. Il est né le 26 février 1966 à Port-au-Prince, en Haïti. En 2023, il est devenu directeur régional de l’UNICEF pour l’Amérique latine et les Caraïbes, responsable des activités dans 36 pays et territoires de la région.
